Be the Star You Are!® coaches local teens to be effective communicators and publishes writers through a collaboration with Lamorinda Weekly. The charity boasts over 2000 reviews by our Star Teen Book Review Team, is active in local events, hosts numerous literacy outreach programs, and ships books to over 109 beneficiaries in need of hope around the USA. An ongoing critical outreach program is Operation Disaster Relief to help survivors of USA disasters with necessary resources. BTSYA produces two international radio shows, StarStyle®-Be the Star You Are!®, an upbeat lifestyle show featuring authors, and experts as well as a teen program, Express Yourself!™ with youth reporters and hosts ages 12-24. Founded in 1999 by actor and NY Times best selling author, Cynthia Brian, BTSYA is funded 100% by individual donations. All outreach programs offer community service credits to volunteers.
