Grand Opening for Loard's Ice Cream and Lori's Swim and Sun

Moraga Center
alt Loard's Ice Cream & Candy and Lori's Swim and Sun celebrated their Grand Openings on April 24th. The line was long in front of Loard's new location in the Moraga Center. For a few hours, the store offered free ice cream to patrons to celebrate its new home. A ribbon cutting ceremony took place with the Chamber of Commerce and Council Member Dave Trotter. Chamber president Edy Schwartz then stepped a few yards away to cut the ribbon of Lori's Swim and Sun which also recently relocated from the Rheem Center to the Moraga Center.

Small Business Person of the Year

200905_moraga_smbusawardJavier Goldon was honored as the small business person of the year from Moraga at the Contra Costa Small Business Award luncheon in May.

Javier has owned the UPS store for the past three years. Even with the long hours Javier spends in his store, he has found many ways to support the Moraga community. His business is thriving because of his hard work and his friendly personality. He loves the Moraga community, and he is grateful for the support he has gotten from everyone who lives here.
